There's No Justice

This guy is dead and Charlie Daniels continues to pollute the world with his cow-plod. Is there a better reason to take the pipe?

Via Driftglass.

I believe that's my most excellent buddy Mike Keneally playing slide, but it's hard to tell with all the hair.

That was great.

Thanks, Jeddie.

That made my day, Ned. I miss Frank Zappa so much, even more than I miss Lowell George. He's right there in my pantheon with Mark Twain and H.L.Mencken.
Let me suggest, to any who haven't heard it in a while, Randy Newman's Faust for another wicked, witty assault on the same target Zappa aims at here.

Hey Satan, you know that song where you played fiddle against that kid from Georgia? Well, I always thought your solo was the better of the two.

(paraphrased from a Ray Wiley Hubbard song, I think)

Unlikely. Given when that song came out (on You Are What You Is, early '80s), it was a bit before Mike's time in the School of Frank.

Blu.. er, Glue Birl told me to check this out a few days back but I been slackin' in my bloggin' recently.

Wow! I'm with DecDem and miss Zappa's energy and irreverance. Not even Kinky Friedman could hold a candle to him because of the quality of the music.

Thanks
